My mom had just bought a new tote bag pattern. I wanted to make one too
so I picked out some fabric at the 4-H fabric sale for the main body of
the purse. I got the additional fabric from the fabric store. The
directions were very good and clear. The hardest part for us was making
the pocket. Arielle and I both broke a needle. Though in the end, the
pockets ended up looking very professional. We will use our bags for the
upcoming co-op that we will be attending soon. We hope to make lots of these tote bags as well as others and sell them.

I love the fabrics you all chose! They are so pretty, and the bag is a wonderful pattern. There's a little store here in Colorado Springs called Crafty Laine (the owner's name is Elaine) that always reminds me of you all because the fabrics are all pretty, whimsical prints. Wish you could see it!

P.S. Liana: Ellie loves making bags too, but usually she makes the pattern up herself...that's her style. :-) I should get her to use a pattern like yours soon!
Thanks Cecilia! I wish I could see it too!
ReplyDeleteHi Cecilia! I wish I could go shop there! I always love looking in different fabric stores! Tell Ellie that I wish we could sew together.
